CO-CO – COliving & COworking Costa Blanca

Dénia, Costa Blanca (Alicante), Spain

A five-room villa above Dénia with a four-metre coworking table facing the sea and a silent room where nobody may talk to you. Adults only, eleven-night minimum, and a hill between you and the shops.

Looking down on a pool with a dolphin mosaic, an outdoor bar and a shaded terrace, pines and the sea beyond

About the space

A villa with a round tower on a hillside above Dénia, between the Montgó and the sea, open since the end of 2023. It has five rooms — three en suite, two sharing a bathroom — and each has its own desk. That makes it a house of five, perhaps ten if everyone brings a partner, and the operator is direct about what that means: someone who only wants a desk and to be left alone is, in its own words, probably in the wrong place.

The setup, in principle

The working core is one four-metre table indoors facing the sea, plus a silent focus room where nobody may talk to a seated person — good for deep work, useless for calls, and there is no call booth. The operator’s terms list further working spots: tables on the outdoor deck and the terrace, the outdoor kitchen counter, a standing table in the garden, a hammock and a tree desk. The operator claims fibre over a mesh that reaches the garden but publishes no speed, and the third-party figures run from 130 to 1000 Mbps. Meals are not included; there are two kitchens, a coffee flatrate and a House Facilitator who organises activities.

Neighbourhood

The house sits on the hill above the town, and the distance down is the one thing every source disagrees on: the beach is quoted at 1 km, 2 km, a 25-minute walk and a 30-minute walk, and the operator publishes no walking figure. Alicante and Valencia airports are each about an hour and ten minutes by car, with coaches from both to Dénia bus station, where the operator offers a pickup. There is no mainline railway — Dénia is the end of TRAM line 9, and reaching Alicante means changing at Benidorm, roughly three hours. Without a car, plan for the hill.

Best for

Deep-work stays that need a genuinely silent room, in a five-person house rather than a thirty-bed building — for people who will join in once the laptop closes

Less good for

Heavy call schedules — there is no call booth, and the silent room forbids talking; anyone who wants a coworking space without the house; stays under eleven nights; car-free guests who need a shop within walking distance; anyone under 21 or travelling with children
